I’m graduating with a Masters degree this May. This is my third degree and I want to send announcements to my close family and friends but do not want (or expect) any gifts. I’m nearly 40 and it’s not like I’m fresh out of college with my undergrad degree. Anyway, would it be appropriate to insert a note in each announcement saying something like:
“I’m just sharing the news that I’ve finally reached my goal. Thank you for the lifelong support you’ve given me.
No gifts please.”
